The hike down the river bank to the falls was very steep. However, the misty falls was worth the hike. I could walk along the falls and enjoy its music.
This Buddhist temple is just up the river from Fukiware Falls. To get to the temple, I first needed to cross a suspension bridge.
The temple was quite small.
There are hiking trails around the temple and water falls, so I took a 30 minute hike through the woods. Which turned out to not be too good of an idea because I saw a bear. Sure, the bear was on the other side of a high fence, but still.
This shrine is located on a lake. It also has a koi pond that I spent a bit of time feeding the fish with bread.
I tried to go down the other side of the mountain, but the road was closed. So I had to back track a ways until I could find a way to Takasakishi Senryo Botanical Garden. On the way, I drove over another melody road, which can be found on my Instagram.
The botanical garden turned out to be a little too expensive for this trip, so I found groceries in Shibukawa and then made my way to NAPI Auto Camping to sleep the rest of the day away.
