Today was a late start. We drove up into the mountains and enjoyed the snow. I'm glad I did not change out my winter tires yet, because there was a lot of snow on the roads yet.
We tried some side roads, but they were closed. We have both been to Tsuruga-jo, so we drove back town the mountain.
Our last stop for the day was Kanonji.
A few of the trees were in bloom already.
2 April 2017
Zack and I started the day at Ryuhoji - Yanagawa Hachiman Shrine.
We were trying to go to Kunimi Burger restaurant in Kunimi, but we could not find it. So, our next stop for the day was a temple down in Fukushima.
Nakano Fudson is a Yen temple that is more than eight centuries old.
The walk around the temple and through the paths was very nice.
We went to Fukushima Kataoka Tsurutaro Art Garden and enjoyed the art on display. Shigeo Ogino's art was on display when we went. Here is a link for his website.
After the art gallery, we went north to the Manzoinari Shrine.
The walk up to the shrine was very nice. It was a very easy walk and the trail was not too steep.
