On 10 February 2019, Cornelia, Shannen, and I went snow shoeing on Mount Zao.
I have never used snow shoes before (or at least actual snow shoes...messing around when I was a kid with my brothers doesn't count).
I brought my Iowa-approved snow pants back with me when I went home for 2017 Christmas. These made being in the snow for three hours a walk in the park...or a walk on the mountain.
(Shannen is the one with the floral backpack)
My group was put in with the adult group, even though we probably should have been put in with the children. What I mean is that some of the people we hiked with were pushing to finish the hike in a lot less time then the 2 hours allotted for the hike.
I have no clue what animal these tracks belong to, so let's make it sound very exciting and say we saw some bear tracks!

We were the first group up on the trail, so we got to break the virgin snow. We left a path to follow for the second group.
Honda san is excited that the hike is half over!
At the end of the trail was a small A-frame shelter.
