Above is a mpa of Matsudo - Matsudo is outlined in red.
After work on the 9th, I packed up my car and drove down to Matsudo to visit Erica. We went to college together, and we had not seen each other since July. I arrived in Japan about 3 weeks before her, so I got settled in first. Because I have a car, I drove down to her, because trains over long distances are not cheap.
I did not get many photos of Matusdo, just the food.
The night of the 9th, we followed our noses and found a yakatori bar called Totoya. The first round of food at the yakatori bar was tofu bathed in fish sauce. For those who have never had fish sauce, it is exactly what it sounds like. It also tastes about as good as it sounds.
The second round at the yakatori bar was actual yakatori. Or sticks of grilled meat. I believe (from left to right) the yakatori were meat from chicken necks, chicken necks and green onion pieces, and some type of flattened meat balls. It was all very good!
On the 10th, we ate in Matsudo at a restaurant we found.
I do not remember what this ramen shop was called that we ate in Matusdo, but it was not too far from the station.
On the 11th, we went to Tokyo where we spent the day.
