A group of us from training went out to eat. We went to Shinjuku because no one else had been there before, so I became the designated leader. If only they knew how easily I got lost.
When no one could decide where they wanted to eat, I suggested Ramen Jiro, a place I had heard about. With no objections, we set out.
Like most ramen shops, it is tiny with seating around the counter, facing into the kitchen. And like most ramen shops, you order from a machine and hand the ticket to the cook. However, this was the first ramen shop where there were no pictures next to the kanji. So I just pressed a button and hopped for the best!
What I ended up with was a large bowl of pork ramen. And when I say large, I really mean HUGE!
The other women in the group had the same problem - we all had huge bowls. We did our best to eat as much as possible, but in the end we had to leave about half full bowls behind.

A group of us went to a curry restaurant, where we all ordered something different.
For some reason, I did not take any photos, so I'll creep on their facebook pages :)
Here are a few of us that went out for curry.

Tonight, a group of us went to a Yakitori bar. One of the other trainees with me ordered for the two of us and we split the bill. We had onion, skirt steak, liver, and tendon yakitori (if I remember correctly). It was all very delicious. Now that I think about it, I think it was heart and not liver yakitori...
The yakitori was wonderful, but not really filling. So we went searching for another joint.
I do not remember what this next place was called, but everyone had to order a drink and a dish. We all decided to split everything.
I do not remember everything that we had eaten, but it was all wonderful!
