On this cool, wet morning, I decided to take a drive.
I did not have a specific destination in mind, so after I filled up my car, I zoomed out on my GPS, dropped a pin, and just drove.
The higher I went up in the mountains, the more fog I encountered.
These photos do not do the forest any justice. The greens were so vibrant and saturated from the rain that it felt like I was in Wonderland. The fog was thick enough I could almost scoop it up with my hands.
The whole trip was on a road that twisted and turned back on itself.
The fog and the rain made it difficult to drive. Also, because the road was so narrow, there were few places to pull over for photos.
Here is a picture of my car on one of the "parking" spots on the shoulder of the road. Now, for size comparison, the car I drive is a little bigger than a Mini Cooper.
Here is a photo of the road from inside my car. Don't worry, the car was in park.
Yes, this is a two way road. Not a one way. Thankfully, I did not meet anyone on my drive.
I did not spend much time in the park because it was raining and me, like a fool, did not bring any protection. By "protection" I mean a rain coat for myself and a bag and rag for my camera. Mostly protection for my camera. I am not made of sugar, so I won't melt.
On my way back down from the park, I found a rice field with a pond.
Here, I am looking back up at the park.
I could not choose a favorite one between the following, so I decided to put them all up!
The rolling fog reminds me of a movie I watched called "13th Warrior". Its a really great movie, so check it out!
