I went on a hike to see some of Takako's Twenty Scenic Views.
This is the map at Takako Station. We went on the very short hike with only three of the views.
From the station, we walked past vineyards on both side of the road.
This is a view of Tanroban from across the valley.
The stairs leading up to the White Cloud Cave (白雲洞) and the cave.
A poem about White Cloud Cave: 朝に 見る白雲の迎えるを Mornings a white cloud greets me. Evenings a white cloud sees me off. As I live here growing older.
The sign post and view from Old Logger Hill (古樵丘). At the base of the mountain is Koori-machi.
A cup of sake on the hill and 詩成りて自ずから飄逸 completing a verse lighten my heart. I wake and admire a full moon rising.
I have no clue what type of spider this is, but there were tons of them on the walk from Old Logger Hill to Tanroban.
Tanroban is at the top of the hill. On one side of the path was persimmons (柿) and the other looked to be apple trees.
Once in the woods, a path winds 雌巑岏に接す through mysterious rocks 紫霞の興を発するごとに the romance of nature allures me 幾たびか過ぎる丹露盤 many times to this ancient outcrop.

After we finished with the walk, we went to a teahouse in Hobara. I sat next to one of the ladies who made the tea at the kettle I am in front of.
After lunch, we watched kamishibai (紙芝居). Kamishibai is a form of storytelling which is illustrated with drawings.
This first story we saw was "The Crying Red Ogre"
The second story was called "The Snail's Sorrow".
The last story was called "The Kogane Pond".
After we watched the three stories, we went and picked Shine Muscat Grapes.
